Yes, I have to admit, cute Gustafer, the little yellow guy, won me over! Singer/songwriter Morgan Taylor has a way with words and music that appeals to anyone, ages 4 to 104! His silly songs are fun, relaxing and entertaining! I do agree with The NY Times that he is a cross between The Yellow Submarine and Dr Seuss. I have listened to the CD twice now and it just keeps getting better. My favorite song is Pancake Smackdown. Who would have thought of a pancake smackdown? The whole song is about what happens during a pancake smackdown. Let’s just say, I’d rather eat my pancakes that get smacked down with a short stack!

The DVD with the music videos (like the YouTube video above) is so much fun. You can play the video in normal mode or karaoke style. How much fun would that be! My son loves to sing and especially loves to memorize song lyrics. He loves the karaoke on the DVD. We have a toy microphone and he used it to “sing” with Gustafer. It was funny. My son loves drawing and creating so even liked the Bonus Features on the DVD: “Making of Year in the Day” and “Gustafer Guitar Lessons.”

Mom Does Reviews gives Gustafer 5 out of 5 stack of pancakes. I highly recommend this CD/DVD to anyone who loves silly, fun songs that make you want to smile and sing all day!

Nohi Kids Review and Giveaway

When I first saw Nohi Kids clothes I fell in love! Cheyenne loves any opportunity to be a little diva! I love this dress! The dress is has the perfect amount of “stretch.” This is important because Cheyenne does not like keeping any type of clothes on that have the “snug” fit. Plus I don’t have to struggle to get her in and out of the dress. It has a 2 inch sash that ties in the back. Cheyenne is super tiny for her age so the dress will grow with her. It is perfect to throw with a pair of leggings and long sleeve shirt underneath and let her wear the dress even on cooler days. I love the style of the dress!! It will surely grow with her as she will be able to wear it as a tunic when it is no longer fitting her as a dress.

We received the Flock pattern of the Nohi Kids Girls Dress. It has green and teal partridges all over it. Cheyenne refers to it as her bird dress. Nohi Kids Girls dresses are available in seven different patterns and bright vibrant colors. The dress is made of an organic cotton, bamboo fiber and lycra blend. All the graphics are printed with a water-based ink as well. 🙂 My favorite part about these dresses are that they are 100% machine washable!! Alexandria is so tall and thin that it is impossible to find her pants that fit her in both length and waist! I would have to honestly say that FyrFlyz are one of my favorite new toys. Yes I am 28 and I am addicted to the new kid craze. I find myself playing with them every chance I get!  If I see one just laying on our table or walk past one I pick it up turn the lights off and start playing. Even my husband carries FyrFlyz with him everywhere. It so exciting when he plays with FyrFlyz in public and kids make comments like, “That’s so cool!” “Look, he has FyrFlyz!” Our kids, Alexandria and Kevin LOVE FyrFlyz and are constantly showing their friends new tricks they learn. Even the younger kids get a kick out of watching.

So what exactly are FyrFlyz. It is the YoYo reinvented 1,000 times better. FyrFlyz look basic and simple. They are only made up of 5 parts. Two pieces of string two handles and the part that creates all the magic. FyrFlyz create amazing light shows with just 3 simple steps!

Step 1: Turn on your FyrFlyz. Grab one handle in each hand and start spinning the FyrFlyz in large loops so that the strings get twisted.

Step 2: Using the handles, pull the strings apart to spin the FyrFlyz in the opposite direction.

Step 3: As the FyrFlyz spin in the opposite direction, bring the handles closer together and continue to spin large loops to create different tricks and shapes.

2011 Heelys Campaign and Review

What are Heelys? Heelys are the original shoes with wheels in the heels. This allows users to easily transition from walking to skating by shifting their weight to the heel. Heelysare easily turned into street shoes by simply removing the wheels. Recently we were sent a pair of Heelys Wave (as seen above) to review! At first I was afraid that I would fall flat on my face and end up seriously hurt because well that would be my luck. After a few minutes I got the hang of it and was having a ball. (And I didn’t fall!)  It was easy to learn the basics on how to use them and I was eventually trying some simple tricks. I love how I can throw the wheels in my bag and switch from street shoes to skates whenever I desire. Even switching the shoes from skates to street shoes were easy and took only a few minutes. As a mom of Toddlers it is no surprise knowing that my kids, no matter how hard I try, are going to get dirty. It’s usually after I spent hours getting them ready when we need to be somewhere and already running late. Recently I came across one of my new favorite items, Scented Towels. Before I tell you about how great these towels are let me tell you a little about the towels themselves. Scented Towels are made from 100% cotton and are alcohol free, so there are no skin drying ingredients to harm your skin. Each towel is infused with the essentials oils of lemons. In case you didn’t know  the essential oil of lemon has a refreshing scent of citrus that wakes you up. Additionally, this type of essential oil has benefits for healthy skin and for a number of skin conditions. Each Scented Towel is not only biodegradable but also washable and reusable.

So why do I love Scented Towels? These little towels are so easy to use. Each towel is individually rolled, wrapped and pre-moistened.
